Custom Hunting Maps Standard Layers: The following list of information is a complete list of the only layers OTBPMaps will illustrate on a custom hunting map for the cost and development fee listed under the “Prices & Payment” tab:
- Cities
- Hunting Unit
- Land Ownership
- Roads & Water Layers (as described under Disclaimers, Custom Hunting Maps
- Topographic: shaded relief or no shaded relief
OTBPMaps will illustrate these features according to the template they have in place. Color or symbol changes will be considered extra and charged at the hourly rate listed in the “Prices & Payment” section.
OTBPMaps doesn’t guarantee how the labeling will appear or display on the map. OTBPMaps will use their common template and methods to ensure that the labels, symbols, point, line, and polygon features meet OTBPMaps standards any other labeling will be considered extra and outside the original development cost as outlined. UTM and Longitude and Latitude grids are predesigned and set to the OTBPMaps standard. We will not be able to make any adjustments or changes to our grid template. If you have trouble seeing the grid we recommend that you highlight the tick marks with a permanent marker (sharpie). Another suggestion is to take a ruler and draw the grid on the map to make it stand out more.
Any other data will be considered extra and the customer will be charged at the hourly rate listed in the “Prices and Payments” section.
All maps are created using the USGS topographic shaded relief to stand out more. No adjustment to this layer will be made once the order is shipped. We have had a few customers that found the writing on the base map to be blurry. If the customer finds the writing on the base map blurry ( this is due to scale and multiple layers) we can print another map without the landownership layer, but the customer will be charged for the cost of the map and shipping. Note: All map sales are final. We can not issue refunds on maps that are specifically printed for one customer. Plus, refunds can not be issued on any downloadable map products.
The roads will be illustrated in two ways: Highways will be in orange/black and all other roads will be a single black line. There will not be separate symbol style or colors for four wheel drive and non-four wheel drive roads and trails (or any other types of trails and roads). The road labels will be placed next to the road without any backing or highlight and will follow the common OTBPMaps template. We print the road layer on all our maps. The quality of the data depends on the agency from which it is received, and we have no control over the quality or labeling style.
Special Instructions: If you want any other information or detailed work done to your custom map that isn’t outlined in the Hunting Map Agreement, we charge a $45.00 per hour fee for any work beyond what we have listed above. With special orders, the development time can be three to four weeks; please allow enough time before the hunt. Also, this service is only available depending on our work load and other map orders.
Lamination: Lamination is only available through our online Adventure Station mapping services. It is not one of the options we offer through our custom hunting maps with land ownership service.
Custom Hunting Map Sizes: When ordering a custom hunting map you will be limited to our standard custom hunting map sizes: 24” x 36”, 24” x 27”, and 18” x 24”.

As a hunter myself, I know how important it is to have a good map. With this in mind, each map is created as if I was going to use it myself.
